The storm network from XML recognizes the pipe size, but not the slope.
All the pipes are imported in as 0.00% from the upstream to the downstream. By going into the setting and changing to automatic junction and clicking on update the downstream, the pipe slope will update to the downstream invert. It does not recognize drop manholes on the import.
All the pipe materials came in as Concrete.
The purpose of this forum is to create the communication channel between developers of Carlson with IntelliCAD engine and the end-users.
It sounds like a Hydrology specific bug, not related to IntelliCAD itself. I forwarded it to appropiate person.

In the program of converting XML to sewer file, first we don't read pipe slopes, but use pipe inverts to get the pipe slopes. Second, the program doesn't read pipe material and the drop manholes either. The reason why the program recognizes limited information is that our users didn't request all the variables when we added this program the very first time, but we have been adding more information. Can you send me the list of data that you want this program to recognize? My email is shanlu at carlsonsw dot com. I'll add it to our to-do list.
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile, you can use command Network->Spreadsheet Sewer Editor to edit the sewer network data very easily after importing the sewer file.
